img_0023After completing Poljane Gymnasium, she graduated with honours at Ljubljana’s Faculty of law, specializing in protection of personal rights in the field of medicine, under the tutorship of prof. dr. Barbara Novak. During her studies she worked at the Legal-information centre in Ljubljana and was a member of Faculty of law’s team in the international competition in human rights law Rene Cassin. After a brief internship at the Ombudsman of Slovenia, she joined Information Commissioner’s office in 2009. She led appeal procedures in the fields of personal data protection, patients’ rights and access to public information for the media and other applicants. She wrote remarks on proposals of regulations and international acts implementation, requests for constitutionality evaluation of regulations, legal papers and guidelines. She also worked in the fields of supervision and misdemeanour proceedings. She participated actively in numerous international projects and held lectures at international conferences.

In 2013 she joined an NGO, where she helped other NGOs, in particular in the areas of labour law, compliance and public procurement. As a PR representative she led several projects for NGO development and recognition. In March 2014, she returned to the Information Commissioner, where she led the most demanding appeal procedures in fields of access and re use of PSI and information for the media, mostly concerning business entities subject to dominant influence of entities of public law. She partly managed the area of legislation and conducted several lectures, among others also for the European Commission. In August 2015, she joined the Law Firm Pirc Musar.
